Boy do we host kick ass events. Hamsterley Forest saw another storming session on the 12th December shouts to those of you that made the journey, unlucky to those of you who missed out. The boys at descend had worked a treat on the new section and it was evident that this new line would soon become a family favourite.

I spent the day chilling out in the PDC Racing area while recording the race times of the day and there were some real fast times being pulled. The Development crew turned up to shake up the field and John Robson has to get a mention for his unreal times on his HT due to mechanical problems on his DH bike. Hats off to that man. Dave Hopper was laying down the usual pace we associate with him but it was Phil who took the time of the day and left the field gob smacked.

But it was the under 18's who really stole the show. It was so close between Danny Hart and the Developments latest hero Aaron. I was so stoked for Aaron when he pulled a first out of the bag. That lad is going to the top, you heard it here first.

Now I have had some emails in complementing the dancing around that was going on in the pits, im telling you now that it's no laughing matter, bobby and myself almost froze to death and that was extreme shivering you people witnessed.

I heard there was a bit of drama with the uplifts as one of the wheels ripped off the tractor. All im saying is northerners and pies.

Oggy had a bit of an unlucky day, what with bike issues then having to use a rig with UK set up brakes. Some of you probably don't know that Martin is so cool that he has his brakes set up USA stylee, i.e. the wrong way around. That man is too cool for school.

I have a little tip for some of you guys to take on board before our next event, but keep it to yourselves; I don't want everyone jumping on the bandwagon. The last 20m of the course are still part of the course, so don't just go rolling off the drop and slide into captain cruise mode, stand up and pedal your sorry asses across the line; it's the choice of champions. The amount of people I saw role through the timing gates, sat down, brakes trailing, was emotionally scaring. Small children in the background gazing open eyed through the mist "daddy, why is that man sat down, why doesn't he pedal like a real downhill racer?" Those children won't be able to sleep at night.

Highlights of the day for me were watching Hez hip his bike off the double step down drop at the foot of the course into the berm, the lame 360/tailwhip attempts on the PDC mini bike and trying to carry all the speakers and amps across the river.

You gotta see what we have in store for 2005 man im excited.

Peace.
