As Aqueduct took to the main stage in the Village to play the sweltering heat of the day started to fade, and the racers in the Nissan BikerX impatiently, eager to turn the heat back up and rip up the Richey Schley designed course.
Finally the time was here for the BikerX finals.

Cedric on his way down

Lined up in the gate the tension hung thick in the air, like thoroughbred horses chomping at the bit the racers waited for the dramatic "whoosh-thunk" of the air operated start gate.
In the Pro Men heats Cedric was in fine form, almost cruising to victory each time. The reason I say almost is that there was one notable exception that actually challenged Gracia, and that was Kyle Strait. In their heat together Kyle pushed Cedric right until the finish line.

Michael Hannah of Australia was also ripping but failed to make the main finals and would have to settle for racing in the Consolidation final, which he commanded with authority.
In Pro women title holder Jill Kintner looked unstoppable and was, she beat out Anneke Beerten (2nd), Fionna Griffiths (3rd), and Whistlers Jenn Ashton to take the gold.

Sick Mick Hannah

Bas De Bever, Kyle Strait, Brian Lopes and Cedric Gracia lined up in the gate to form the Pro Mens Final, and with the drop of the gate Lopes holeshotted Cedric for the lead. Cedric was not about to give up and down the back straight he opted to air the entire Camel Hump jump (which was enormous, over 40ft in lenght) to make up ground, but it was in vain as Brian pedaled his way to victory with Gracia a few bike lengths back. They were followed up by De Bever and Strait to close out the final. This unseating promises that competition on the world stage in BikerX is going to heat up.

Stacey Kohut wins the wheeler category

NSMB rider Ryan Newman easily won the Amateur mens catagory and Josh Toland of the USA pedaled his way to victory in Juniors.
