Lets take a look at Dialled Bikes

Continuing the theme of small scale bike manufacturers we were recently asked to check out Dialled Bikes. Ashamedly this is another brand I was not aware existed. Perhaps because the only way you'll get these guys bikes is by buying directly from them. Not a bad thing, because this keeps their costs down, a saving which can be passed onto the riders.
Dialled bikes currently have four frames available, three of which are slightly more XC/Enduro style frames designed with riders budgets and preferences in mind and one recently designed do it all hardcore hardtail which has geometry that allows it to suit any riders taste, more later..

The first of the three XC/trail frames is the Kobe Ti, constructed from 3AL/2.5V titanium it's made for the ever growing population of more aggressive XC and trail riders who need a frame that's a little different to the norm. Of course the bonus of titanium is that the frame can still be big and burly but not suffer any of the weight penalties, this frame is no exception. It has a large 38.1mm head tube and 42mm down tube. It has been designed to be combined with a 4-5 inch fork and still have very accurate steering, never a bad thing. Overall this frame would be a very good choice for the rider who loves his uphill but also needs a bike capable of handling descents without fear of frame failure. The frame is priced for the more devoted XC rider at £699 but when you consider that you're getting a titanium frame it all sums up.

Moving onto the frame that I was particularly interested in, the UK Flow. This frame is tagged as a super tough dirt jump/BSX/4X prototype. Constructed from 4130 cro-moly steel this is likely to do just what it says. It currently has the geometry to run on 24inch wheels to give increased manoeuvrability and better acceleration, essential for out on the track. But this bike has something a little special; it can be set up a couple of very different ways. Dialled Bikes team rider Simon Brooks uses a BMX cruiser fork, stem and bars for dirt jumping whilst racer Olly Wilkins uses a short travel Suspension fork, MTB stem and risers. This will obviously appeal to many riders who are not sure exactly what they prefer, MTB or BMX. As a result the frame should sell well to the mtb'ers that like to ride park but also like the feel of suspension every once in a while. Currently un-priced you will have to get onto info@dialledbikes.com if you would like to know more about the UK Flow.

There wasn't much information about Dialled Bikes around but after reading their philosophy on the home page it is clear that they have got their heads screwed on and are most likely a company I would be perfectly happy handing my money over to.
